A report released today by the U.S. Education Department provides an abundance of data about people in 2003 who received their bachelor’s degrees in 1992-93. The report, “Where Are They Now? A Description of 1992-93 Bachelor’s Degree Recipients 10 Years Later,” was issued by the department’s National Center for Education Statistics. Among other information, the report says that 40 percent of the 1992-93 group had received or was pursuing a graduate or professional degree by 2003, and the vast majority were employed full time. Nearly 80 percent of the people surveyed also said that their college studies had prepared them well for their careers, and 90 percent said getting a bachelor’s degree had been worth it.
