In San Francisco, an Accreditor—but Not Accreditation—Goes on Trial

As City College of San Francisco prepares to fight for its life in court, some community-college leaders are urging the institution and its accreditor to negotiate a settlement instead. They fear that a trial will ultimately do more harm than good, both to the college and to the accreditation process.
