A Thank You to James Q. Wilson

Sometimes, even conservatives have good ideas. Case in point, James Q. Wilson, noted political scientist  at Harvard, who died yesterday. Wilson wasn’t short on opinions, most of which in my own not-so-humble judgment were wrong: On gay marriage (he was against it), the death penalty (for it), the Iraq War (for it), etc. But like Archilochus’s analogy about Sparta via the hedgehog, James Q.
