Use RSS To Keep Up With Favorite Online Services

A dog with a rolled-up newspaper in its mouth and a thought bubble over its head reading, 'RSS.'I don’t know how to break this to you, dear reader, but ProfHacker is not the only site around offering tips and tutorials for the digerati. From Gmail to YouTube, Tungle to Remember the Milk, many of the most popular online services maintain blogs that provide helpful information covering how to use their product. Since each blog generates an RSS feed, it’s pretty easy to use an RSS reader to subscribe to several of them. I happen to use Apple Mail as my RSS reader, and I have several of these feeds in my subscription list. I certainly don’t read everything they publish, but I scan the headlines a couple of times a week to see if anything interesting has popped up. If nothing has, then I delete the existing content from my reader and let new content pile up for a few days until I browse the headlines again.
