College Board Releases Guide for Undocumented Students

The College Board has crafted a guide for high-school students who are also illegal immigrants that seeks to make it easier to navigate state laws on in-state tuition price breaks, The Miami Herald reported. The organization, which has been a supporter of the proposed Dream Act, created the guide to be a “living document” that will be continuously updated with new information, according to James Montoya, the group’s vice president for relationship development. The College Board released the resource at a meeting in Miami on Thursday. Advocates of strict immigration policies were quick to criticize the nearly 50-page guide, the Herald reported, saying it would help undocumented students to skirt the law.
