Boston U. Creates Scholarship to Honor Graduate Student Killed in Bombing

Seven members of the university’s Board of Trustees have committed $560,000 to start the fund, which commemorates Lingzi Lu. Ms. Lu, a native of China who was in her first year as a graduate student in mathematics and statistics, died on Monday. The fund was “created in accordance with the preferences” of her family, which is traveling to Boston from China this week.
