U. of Alberta Teams Up With Udacity to Build a Better MOOC

University researchers who specialize in the area of computer science known as machine learning will work with Udacity to improve the delivery of online classes. Monday’s announcement comes shortly after the upstart provider of free online courses received another $15-million in financing.

In addition, the partnership calls for a pilot project to develop a few courses in the Faculty of Science that will be offered through the Udacity platform, with the expectation that at least one course can be taken for University of Alberta credit, which would set the U of A apart from all other Canadian universities.
