Private-College Group Lists Steps Toward Affordability

The National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities has published a list of affordability measures being introduced by private, nonprofit colleges and universities in the coming academic year. The efforts include tuition cuts, freezes, and guarantees; three-year degree programs; four-year graduation pledges; curricular changes to help students graduate on time; lower tuition increases; and scholarship assistance. The list will be updated regularly, the association said.
