Protest of Food-Services Company Leads to Arrests at Ohio State U.

At least nine people were arrested during a sit-in at the president’s office at Ohio State University on Thursday, The Columbus Dispatch reported. The demonstrators were protesting the university’s contract with the food-services vendor Sodexo, which they accuse of mistreating employees in the United States and abroad. The international company has been the focus of similar protests on other campuses this spring. Ohio State officials said the protesters were arrested because of safety concerns after they jammed into the president’s office.
