State-by-State College-Completion Data Are Released for Latino Students
Excelencia in Education on Tuesday released state-by-state information on the college-completion levels of Latino students. The research and advocacy organization compiled the data to ensure that state policy makers understand the crucial role Latinos play in meeting the nation’s college-completion goals. The data reveal, among other findings, that the graduation rates for Latinos are lower than that of non-Hispanic whites. The project is part of a larger effort by the organization to accelerate college attainment in the Latino population.
