U. of Oklahoma Investigates Alleged Experiments on Students

The University of Oklahoma says it’s looking into allegations that a professor used some of his students as guinea pigs in medical experiments. A local television station has reported that Chad M. Kerksick, an assistant professor of exercise physiology, has been put on a leave of absence and that another, unidentified professor has left the university as a result of the allegations. A university spokeswoman, Catherine F. Bishop, said the TV station’s “portrayal of the events is misleading,” though she said the university investigates all such concerns and “is dedicated to holding individuals accountable for findings of impropriety.”
