Urine Trouble Now …

An assistant professor of  mathematics at California State University at Northridge is accused of expressing his anger at a colleague in an unusual way, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Instead of confronting the man in the pages of a scholarly journal or debating him at a conference, Tihomir Petrov has been charged with two misdemeanors for twice relieving himself on his foe’s door. Mr. Petrov was allegedly caught on a hidden camera in December after a puddle of what was thought to be urine was found outside the unidentified professor’s office in Santa Susana Hall.

Mr. Petrov, who was to be arraigned today in Superior Court, specializes in algebraic geometry.
