About University of Exeter

Exeter Intro December 2015

The University of Exeter was given its charter in 1955, but has educational roots stretching back more than 150 years. Today we are one of the top 100 universities in the world, a member of the UK’s prestigious Russell Group of research intensive universities, and we consistently rank in the top 10 of all major UK higher education league tables. We combine academic excellence and world-leading research with stunning campuses in the most beautiful part of the UK.

The University is a vibrant centre for new ideas, and our research makes a difference around the world. We have won the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for our research three times, and saw outstanding results at the REF 2014, where 98% of our research was classed as being of international quality. Our students are amongst the most satisfied in the UK and come from every type of background and from all over the world; in 2014 and 2015 we received awards for providing the best international student experience in the UK.
