CC Faculty - Semester Hours in an Associate Degree

(1/2) > >>

There is an edict from on-high to standardize the number of semester hours in all associate degrees (across the board, regardless of major, program, accreditation, transfer, etc.) at mySchool.  I wonder what it is at your school...    I post in semester hours because that is what we are.. I don't what it is in quarter hours, sorry.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I voted, but the caveat is that some articulation agreements (ie, with the major state flagship engineering school) specified that students needed more hours to transfer than we used for an AA. That drove the administration batty.

Most of our degrees are at 60. But then nursing is 80 and dental hygiene is 103!

For an AA, ours is 64, though with some of the career degrees or AAS, it can be higher.

64 for most degrees
