Average Faculty Salary Outpaced Inflation in 2000-1

The average pay of faculty members around the nation rose again in 2000-1, beating inflation for the fourth year in a row. Average pay increased 3.5 percent, just edging the 2000 inflation rate of 3.4 percent.
