As the University of Virginia has grown from the “Academical Village” created by Thomas Jefferson, its hilly landscape, brick paths, and older buildings have created accessibility challenges. A fourth-year student, Cory Paradis, praises the institution for tackling some of those challenges. Paradis gave The Chronicle a campus tour to highlight improvements that have helped him, pointing out accessibility steps that any university should consider.
