Full professors got the lowest percentage raises in all sectors in 2017-18, but their average pay increases still outpaced the inflation rate of 2.1 percent for 2017. The highest percentage increase went to assistant professors at private nonprofit independent colleges, while the lowest went to full professors at religiously affiliated institutions.
