Colleges With the Best 6-Year and 3-Year Graduation Rates in 2010

Of the 10 private colleges with the best graduation rates, six are in the Ivy League. The 10 for-profit colleges that did best in graduating students had higher graduation rates than did the 10 top public two-year colleges.

Note: Only colleges with at least 500 freshmen entering in the fall of 2004 were considered for these lists. Results are based on data and trends at 3,800 degree-granting institutions in the United States. First-time, full-time degree-seeking students who entered in the fall of 2004 were tracked to arrive at the six-year graduation rates for four-year colleges, and those who entered in the fall of 2007 were tracked to calculate the three-year rates for two-year colleges.
