David Skrbina, a lecturer in philosophy at the University of Michigan, has kept up a nearly decade-long correspondence with Ted Kaczynski, the antitechnology zealot better known as the Unabomber. “He’s portrayed as a radical,” Mr. Skrbina says, “but there have been a number of radical people before him who have said essentially the same thing.”
