Note: Percentages are based on the total number of students of a particular race or ethnicity out of all students whose race is known. The Department of Education counts Hispanic and nonresident alien students as part of distinct racial or ethnic categories, so they are considered as such when calculating the diversity index. The index measures the probability that two people chosen at random from the student body are of different racial or ethnic groups. Students who identify as two or more races are considered as automatically diverse in calculating the index. Institutions with fewer than 500 total students were excluded.
