In the United States, the population is 27.8 percent nonwhite, and college enrollment is 50.6 percent nonwhite. New Mexico has the greatest difference between its nonwhite residents and nonwhite enrollment. Its population is 23.6 percent nonwhite, and its enrollment is 69.6 nonwhite.
