DEATHS Amir Abdur-Rahim, the University of South Florida’s men’s basketball coach, died on October 24. He was 43.
James Bruce Appleberry, a former president of Northern Michigan University and Pittsburg State University, died on October 21. He was 86.
Sister Anne Clifford, who was an associate professor of theology at Duquesne University for two decades, died on October 2. She was 80.
June Frazer, a former tenured professor at Western Illinois University, died on September 25. She was 88. After retiring from teaching, she was an elected member of the New Hampshire State House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016.
