Retirements Susan Teerink, associate vice provost for financial aid and enrollment services at Marquette University, will retire on June 30.
DEATHS Joel Conarroe, a professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania, died on April 28. He was 89. Conarroe led various academic and literary organizations, including the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation, the Modern Language Association, and the PEN American Center.
Michael Sugrue, a former chair of the history department of Ave Maria University who also taught at Princeton University, died on January 16. He was 66. Sugrue gained notoriety online through his recorded lectures as part of the Great Minds of the Western Intellectual Tradition series.
Larry Young, a professor of psychiatry in the Emory School of Medicine and director of the Center for Translational Social Neuroscience and the Silvio O. Conte Center for Oxytocin and Social Cognition at Emory University, died on March 21. He was 56.
