Appointments
David L. Barnett has been named president of Brenau University, in Georgia, after serving as interim president since last fall.

Christina A. Clark, a former provost of Marywood University, has been named president of La Roche University, in Pennsylvania.

Rebecca Cunningham, vice president for research and innovation at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, has been named president of the University of Minnesota.

Camille M. Davidson, dean and a professor of law at the Southern Illinois University School of Law, has been named president and dean of Mitchell Hamline School of Law, in Minnesota.

Martin Lemelle, executive vice president and chief financial officer at the Maryland Institute College of Art, has been named president of Grambling State University, in Louisiana.

Mildred Mihlon has been named president of Felician University, in New Jersey, after serving as acting president since April 2023.

David Travis, provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls, has been named president of Lake Superior State University, in Michigan.

Elizabeth MacLeod Walls, president of William Jewell College, in Missouri, has been named president of Washington & Jefferson College, in Pennsylvania.

Andrew W. White, senior director of the Fast Forward program at Belmont University, has been named president of Cleveland State Community College, in Tennessee.

Richard (Biff) Williams, president of Utah Tech University, has been named president of Missouri State University.

Resignations
Wiebe Boer, president of Calvin University, in Michigan, has resigned after allegations of what the university called “unwelcome and inappropriate communication” toward a nonstudent member of the campus community.

Guiyou Huang, president of Western Illinois University, will step down at the end of the month.

Retirements
Anne B. Kerr, president of Florida Southern College, plans to retire after 20 years.

Marnia Lazreg, a professor of sociology at the City University of New York’s Hunter College, died on January 13. She was 83.

Jonathan Uhr, an immunologist and professor emeritus at the University of Texas Southwestern, died on February 15. He was 96.
