Ivory Lyles, who served as director of the Cooperative Extension Service for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture from 2000 to 2009, died on April 19. He was 65.
David Shapiro, a poet who taught art history at William Paterson University and English and comparative literature at Columbia University, died on May 4. He was 77.
