John D. Groesbeck,former dean of the Robert W. Plaster School of Business at Missouri Southern State University, has been named president of Mesalands Community College. He succeeds Thomas Newsom, who has stepped down.
Todd Shackett,director of operational excellence at Baxter International, in Opelika, Ala., has been named president of Southern Union State Community College. He replaces Mark Ellard, who served as interim president since March.
Kristin Williams,president of Henderson Community College, will become chancellor of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System on August 16. She will succeed Rhonda Tracy, who will step down.

Eric Kaler,president of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities since 2011, plans to step down on July 1, 2019. He will serve as president emeritus for a year, then return to his faculty position in the department of chemical engineering and materials science after a sabbatical.

Ellen Granberg,associate provost at Clemson University, will become provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at the Rochester Institute of Technology on August 19.
Karen Hofmann,interim provost at Art Center College of Design, has been named to the position permanently.
John Muccigrosso,a professor of classics and former dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Drew University, became interim provost and vice president for academic affairs at Holy Names University on July 1.
