Correction (4/1/2019, 4:45 p.m.): The original version of this article incorrectly listed Beth Fisher Ingram’s previous post as provost and vice president for academic affairs at North Dakota State University. She had stepped down from that post and shifted to a faculty role shortly before she was appointed as the next executive vice president and provost at Northern Illinois University. The text has been corrected.
