If an institution charges state residents and non-residents the same amount, the figure is listed only in the “in-state” column. The 1998-99 figures cover state residents only.

The figures represent charges to first-time, full-time undergraduates based on a nine-month academic year of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours.

An asterisk (*) indicates that an institution provided estimated figures for 1999-2000. The designation “n/a” indicates that tuition figures were not available.
