Forest is a graduate of Evergreen State College with a degree in political economy of media and journalism. They have previously covered state politics as an intern for Politico California, in Sacramento, fact-checked and copy-edited as an intern for the media watchdog FAIR.org, in New York City, and covered the local police as a reporter for The Cooper Point Journal, in Olympia, Wash. Forest also covers the podcast industry as a freelancer and loves good audio journalism.
