Protesters one hour after curfew end a protest at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn, N.Y., after another day of demonstrations rallying for an end to police brutality and systemic racism after the death of George Floyd, on June 5, 2020. Randy Williams (not pictured), a protest organizer, said he had made a deal with four of the white shirted NYPD officers to avoid arrests. At the end of the protest he fist bumped one of the police officers, immediately leading to an argument with another protester. ?Not all cops are bad,? Mr. Williams said, ?just like not all white people are bad.? On May 25, George Floyd, a black man, was killed by white police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis. In the days following, demonstrations have spread nationwide to at least 48 cities to protest the death of Mr. Floyd and other recent police killings of black men and women.
