Jordan Matsudaira is a professor of public policy and economics at the School of Public Affairs at American University, where he directs the Postsecondary Education Economics Research Center. He served as Deputy Under Secretary and the inaugural Chief Economist of the U.S. Department of Education in the Biden Administration.
