
Michael Fried
Michael Fried is a researcher at Ithaka S+R in the Educational Transformation program, where he focuses on creatively integrating quantitative and qualitative data to assess and evaluate a wide variety of institutional initiatives and educational interventions. Before joining Ithaka S+R, Michael’s work focused on institutional and academic assessment and curriculum planning. He has also worked in several student-facing roles in the areas of residence life, new student orientation, and academic advising.
Michael has a PhD in higher and post-secondary education from New York University, an MSed in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BA in English and Religion from Emory University. His research and presentations have focused on the application of industrial/organizational psychology frameworks to higher education settings.
