Rachel Cieri Mull is a senior editor at The Chronicle of Higher Education whose work focuses on the changing lives of students and faculty members.

Before joining The Chronicle in January 2020, Mull was senior content editor for features at The Baltimore Sun, where she led the newsroom’s entertainment and lifestyle coverage. Her portfolio included special sections and magazines, which earned national awards from the Society for Features Journalism.

Mull cut her teeth at SmartCEO Media, a regional business magazine, where she worked her way up to managing editor. She graduated from Elon University with a degree in journalism.
