Most international students in Australia are pleased with their overall experience, according to a new survey by Universities Australia, an association of higher-education institutions. The survey of 36,308 students found that 86 percent were satisfied with their educational and living experience in Australia. Despite the findings, Glenn Withers, chief executive of Universities Australia, said in a statement that universities could not see “the world through rose-colored glasses” and that there were significant challenges to better serving students from abroad. For example, he said, the survey “identifies mismatches between students’ expectations of living in Australia and their actual experiences.”
