Digital Humanities Questions and Answers is now five months old! DH Answers (for short, and on Twitter at @DHanswers) is a friendly, community-based Q&A board for anyone blending technology with research and pedagogy in the humanities. As we’ve described here in past posts (by Jason, “checking in,” and by me “by the numbers”), DH Answers is a collaborative project of ProfHacker and the ACH, the primary professional society for computing and the humanities. Both groups have been thrilled at how the community has grown. Students, faculty, and staff working in the digital humanities use the site regularly to help each other explore big issues or overcome little road-blocks in their day-to-day work.
Not surprisingly, our most popular categories are related to software and project management and professional issues in the digital humanities -- but the teaching and metadata and text technology forums are hopping, too!
It’s easy to sign up and post questions, and DH Answers provides a number of ways (via Twitter, elective email notifications, and RSS feeds) to stay plugged into the conversations that matter to you. Start here if you’d like an introduction to the site.
