By  Sara Lipka
August 20, 2013

“I know what to look for if for some reason a piece of machinery doesn’t start.”

Rachel Arsenault Vermont Technical College

Rachel Arsenault heard the debate over the value of college, and rather than study law or psychology, she has pored over course listings to fit in subjects like engine diagnostics and repair. Ms. Arsenault, who already finished an associate degree in dairy-farm management technology at Vermont Tech, is now pursuing an associate degree in agribusiness and a bachelor’s in diversified agriculture there.
