A University of Kentucky football player was charged on Tuesday with first-degree rape and has been indefinitely suspended from the team, the Lexington Herald-Leader reported.
The player, Lloyd Tubman, a freshman defensive end, was charged in connection with a sexual-assault report filed by a female student last Thursday. He was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond on Tuesday night and had not made any public comment regarding the charge.
