The Harrington College of Design, which is owned by a giant for-profit educator, the Career Education Corporation, will close in 2018, Crain’s Chicago Business reports. The institution has seen enrollment decline and revenue lag in recent years. The roughly 250 undergraduates at the college will begin taking classes at Columbia College in the fall. Harrington’s 100 graduate students will continue to be taught by the college’s professors. Jim McCoy, the college’s vice president for operations, said the college employed fewer than 100 people.
