AI in Admissions

Can generative AI technologies and admissions officers work in tandem to improve the state of admissions?
Proponents of AI say it frees staff to focus on the human aspects of their jobs. These technologies can also help with issues that are harder for humans to tackle, such as acting like a sieve to quickly detect fake applications.
However, critical questions and concerns arise around its use — from both admissions officers and prospective students.
Watch on demand from Thursday, February 13, at 2 p.m. ET a virtual forum about the state of AI in admissions. We answered questions such as how staff can:
- Address biases that AI introduces
- Spot and handle AI errors
- Account for students using AI in their applications and personal essays
