Helping Students Navigate the 'Hidden Curriculum'

There’s more to the completion of a degree than academics — and as more and more first-generation students make their way onto campus, colleges are recognizing that those students need more support outside the classroom, particularly when it comes to the “hidden curriculum.” How can colleges help first-gen students understand the intricate, often unwritten rules of college policies, procedures, and campus culture unfamiliar to their families?
We’ve assembled a panel of experts to examine the issue at a coming virtual forum, “Helping Students Navigate the ‘Hidden Curriculum.’” Join us as we discuss how colleges and universities are shifting priorities and developing strategies to help their students overcome those challenges and realize their full potential.
