The Talent Crisis in Higher Education
Colleges are confronting the tough realities of today’s hiring climate. Top applicants for jobs have high expectations of their employers, and as they seek greater flexibility and higher pay, institutions are seeing fewer applications from qualified candidates. How can colleges and universities remain competitive?
The Chronicle will convene a panel of experts to examine the issue at a coming virtual forum, “The Talent Crisis in Higher Education.” During the hourlong session, our panel will discuss strategies to help those institutions attract and retain top talent during this fraught time, including such questions as:
- How can colleges remain employers of choice?
- What can colleges do to compete with the private sector for in-demand roles?
- How can they retain their talented employees and create meaningful career paths for them?
