In the past, only students who could afford tutors and admissions coaches had a major advantage. Now, new AI tools are democratizing study help, admission guidance, and more for applicants from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as first-generation and lower-income students.

From application prep to the admissions process, many believe AI tools will level the playing field for college access.
