The Changing Futures of Community College
The COVID-19 pandemic permanently transformed the role of community colleges.
On one hand, they faced dropping enrollment and increasing financial pressure. On the other hand, they saw renewed interest in career-focused programming and reskilling for adult learners.
In this Virtual Forum, we explored strategies that community colleges can use to thrive in this new era, including:
- Partnering with employers and universities
- Offering short-term certificates
- Improving public awareness of the community-college system
