In a move inspired by the growing diversity of American society, Black Issues in Higher Education will change its name this summer to Diverse: Issues in Higher Education, the president of the company that publishes the biweekly magazine announced here on Thursday.
Speaking at a symposium for college administrators that was sponsored by Roosevelt University, the president, William E. Cox, said that the 21-year-old magazine’s goal was “to become more inclusive” and to serve a multicultural readership with “common aims and interests.”
