Tougaloo College has named four finalists in its search for a new president. But two of them are former chief executives who resigned from their old jobs amid allegations of financial mismanagement.
One of the candidates, Josephine D. Davis, stepped down in February as president of York College of the City University of New York. An audit by CUNY officials had found evidence of questionable financial practices, including the use of money from York’s non-profit foundation to buy 260 copies of a book that Ms. Davis edited.
