Preventing Faculty Burnout

A nationwide survey highlighted a disparity between professors and administrators regarding burnout prevention. Only 32 percent of administrators responded that they consider preventing burnout a key goal, in contrast to 62 percent of polled faculty who believe that reducing burnout is a priority at their institutions.

How can the gap be addressed so that institutions can work toward preventing burnout and building morale? Experts met to discuss burnout prevention during this virtual forum hosted by The Chronicle.
