Patty Crawford, Baylor University’s Title IX coordinator, has resigned from her position, the college announced in a news release on Tuesday.
Ms. Crawford is the latest administrator to leave the private university after an investigation revealed that it had mishandled sexual-assault reports, especially those that involved members of the football team.
The release said Ms. Crawford “was disappointed in her role in implementing the recommendations that resulted from the Pepper Hamilton investigation.”
After a nine-month investigation, Pepper Hamilton LLP, a law firm hired by the university, found that Baylor had failed “to prioritize, recognize, implement, and resource Title IX.”
On Monday two women filed a lawsuit against the university, saying Baylor had failed to properly investigate their cases, according to the Waco Tribune-Herald. This is the third such lawsuit the university faces.Return to Top
