South Korean students who are uneasy about the future are increasingly seeking advice not from career counselors and trusted mentors but from fortune tellers, The Korea Times reports.
A survey of 878 college students this month by the online job-information company Albamon found that 68 percent had consulted a fortune teller in the past year, compared with 52 percent a year earlier. The percentage of male students seeking foreknowlege rose from 35 percent to 60 percent. Among women, the figures jumped from 59 percent to 73 percent. A stunning 81 percent of students said they had felt the urge to visit a mystic.
